Introduction

Music and music videos are a time capsule of our culture, a powerful medium that provides a way of expressing ourselves and critiquing our society. Today, I've selected three music videos I find particularly interesting to critique through a lens of sexuality, heteronormativity, pleasure activism, capitalism, and the lives of these three black LGBT music artists.
